Instructor: Bobby Eckert (City of Camden Fire Department)
Class Description: Let's face it there is extreme gap in the knowledge and understanding of the five types of building construction. This causes many have a complete ignorance to the buildings in which they operate in. Modern texts have many misconceptions, and many in the fire service are hardly on the same page when its comes to building construction. This course breaks down all five types, and gives the student an understanding of them. We will cover the concerns with all five types as well how they are built, fire travels through them, hazards, and how they collapse. It's the Fire Departments goal to use the building they operating in against the fire that's in there. Take this knowledge to have a better understanding, and make yourself that much more effective on the fire ground.
